The 'Potter' actress turns 21 today, but she's been stepping out in some very grown-up outfits for a while now.
It's been a magical year for Emma Watson. And to celebrate her birthday, we're taking a look at her sartorial successes.
By this time last year, the 21-year-old was already a seasoned red carpet pro. But the "Harry Potter" star further upped the ante when she chopped off her locks this past summer. "Yes, I cut my hair off a few days ago! I love it -- feels incredible. Hope you like it!" the Brit tweeted on Aug. 5 before redirecting fans to her updated profile picture on Facebook.
Her styles have been as complex as Expecto Patronum (that's a Patronus Charm, for you Muggles). She donned a camouflage corset to a summer music festival, a flirty white gown to the MET gala (both by Burberry) and even an out-of-character, ultra-racy LBD on the red carpet.
With a stint as the face of Burberry under her belt -- in their Spring 2010 ad campaign shot by Mario Testino -- Watson was the perfect choice for the latest Lancôme ads. As their youngest spokesmodel, Watson joined actresses Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz and Anne Hathaway as celebrity faces of the French beauty house. She doesn't just wear the clothes, Watson also helped design a small collection for Alberta Ferretti, called "Pure Threads" which is 100% organic and sold exclusively at albertaferretti.com.
And unfortunately, the actress doesn't have real-life access to the a Time-Turner, a time-traveling device. She decided to take time off from her studies at Brown University explaining on her website that juggling courses and other commitments was, "a little impossible."
With the final "Harry Potter" hitting theaters this summer and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" to start filming we'll have plenty more opportunities to witness Watson's sartorial magic!
