Campbell Confirms Evil Dead Reboot
“NEWSFLASH: We are remaking Evil Dead,” Campbell tells Reddit. “The script is awesome. I will be one of the producers and possibly play the milk man.”
Campbell says that everyone associated with the original trilogy of films would like to do another one but that the schedules for those involved are the biggest issue.
“In all honesty, we would all love to make another Evil Dead movie,” Campbell said. “When that will happen? Who can say – we’re all working on other jobs right now. We’re not trying to dodge anybody’s questions, there just isn’t that much to talk about. The remake’s gonna kick ass – you have my word.”

Firm pledges to take down 'Walking Dead' ad at funeral parlour
The siting of the advertisement for The Walking Dead, a post-apocalyptic television horror show, sited next to The Co-operative Funeralcare raised eyebrows in Consett, County Durham.
Susan Jones, from the Willow Burn Hospice, near Lanchester, said that while some people may see the funny side, others would not.
Mrs Jones said grieving families could be upset by seeing the advert for the US drama, which is about hordes of undead chasing a gang of survivors. She said: “Emotions can be pretty raw when people are recently bereaved.
“Words like ‘death’ and ‘dead’ can be very difficult. If you encounter this just as you are going to the funeral service to make arrangements for a loved one, it could be very upsetting.
“People of a certain age group could find it particularly challenging.”
Councillor Owen Temple, who represents the Consett area on Durham County Council, said he was aware of the billboard, but had not received any complaints.
He said: “Some will be amused, but some may be offended. It left me unmoved.”
A spokesman for The Co-operative Funeralcare said its premises in Consett were leased. He said: “It is disappointing that we were not consulted as this advert could cause unnecessary distress.
“When the billboard site was erected, we were assured that no insensitive adverts would be featured.”
The company responsible, Clear Channel, has agreed the advert is inappropriate and has promised to remove it.
A spokesman said: “Clear Channel apologises for any offence caused by the unfortunate juxtaposition of this advertisement, which was certainly not intended.
“We have arranged to have it moved right away.”

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter - 2001
Holy Sacrilege Batman! This is a job for Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter!
Vampires are killing lesbians in the city of Ottawa. Maxine Schreck [Murielle Varhelyi] and Johnny Golgotha [Ian Driscroll], two important members of Father Eustace's parish are missing, and Eustace [Tim Devries] can no longer sit by and watch, so he calls on the help of the greatest vampire hunter of all--Jesus Christ [Phil Caracas]. After a shave, haircut, and some new clothes, Jesus sets out to kick vampire ass, aided by Mary Magnum [Maria Moulton] in her red jumpsuit.
Maxine and Johnny, now vampires, are running a vampire ring. They prefer to feed on lesbians (because nobody will miss them), and Dr Pretorius [Josh Grace] grafts lesbian skin to the bodies of vampires, allowing them to walk during the day. When Mary falls prey to the vampires, God sends the masked wrestler, Santo Enmascarado de Plata [Jeff Moffet], to help Jesus. Together, they kick and stake several dozen vampires and get kicked and staked a bit themselves. When Mary, John, and Maxine attempt to quarter Jesus, Santo bites the ropes that bind him. Fr Eustace, also a vampire now, stakes Jesus through the heart. But this serves only to let his heartlight shine on the vampires, reducing them all to dust. Fortunately, Jesus is able to heal Mary Magnum, who requests that he also heal Maxine so that they can be together.

Robert Quarry

The tall, raven-haired Quarry was billed as "Dashing, Dark and Deadly", and relished the description. "Actors always wanted to play the good guys first," he once reflected. "I was different, and, boy, I did have a lot of fun drinking the blood of the lovely DJ Anderson. I always tried to play villains like the heroes. Vincent Price always over-egged the pudding. I played Count Yorga straight."
Robert Walter Quarry was born on November 3 1925 at Santa Rosa, California, the son of a doctor. His grandmother, a frustrated actress, introduced him to the world of theatre and cinema. Although academically gifted, he left school at 14 and by the 1940s he was working on radio in juvenile roles. He then won a scholarship to the Pasadena Playhouse, where he was spotted by Alfred Hitchcock and cast as Teresa Wright's boyfriend in Shadow of a Doubt
(1943) – only to be replaced by Charles Bates and given a smaller role instead.
Quarry joined the Army in November 1943 and formed a theatrical group which put on a hit production of the play The Hasty Heart. After the war he returned to filmmaking, landing a contract with RKO and then MGM, where he befriended Katharine Hepburn and taught her to play tennis. She chose him to star opposite her in the Broadway production of As You Like It (1950), and the next year he played Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew.
Little came of Quarry's time at MGM. He appeared in Soldier of Fortune (1955) and House of Bamboo (1955), then played Dwight Powell opposite Robert Wagner, Joanne Woodward and Mary Astor in A Kiss Before Dying
(1956). His other films included Crime of Passion
(1957), Winning (1969) and WUSA (1970), the last two starring Paul Newman.
Quarry's role as Count Yorga made him one of the industry's most bankable horror stars. Although groomed as the "new Vincent Price", he never quite justified this accolade; but horror movie fans enjoyed his roles as the vampire hippie guru Khorda in The Deathmaster
(1972); as the scientist Darius Biederbeck in Dr. Phibes Rises Again!
(1972), opposite Vincent Price; and as the evil mob boss Morgan in the "zombie flick" Sugar Hill
(1974).
On television Quarry appeared in The Lone Ranger, The Rockford Files, Perry Mason and Ironside.
In 1980 he was run down by an uninsured truck driver, and the resulting medical bills left him broke. Soon afterwards he was mugged in Hollywood and left for dead on the street. Quarry then became something of a recluse, until the film director Fred Olen Ray – an admirer of his work – successfully persuaded him to return to the screen in Cyclone
(1987). He subsequently made a string of horror films for Ray, including Mind Twister
(1994), with Telly Savalas, and The Prophet (1999).
Robert Quarry was a highly proficient bridge player and a Cordon Bleu-trained cook – he wrote a best-selling cookbook entitled Wonderfully Simple Recipes for Simply Wonderful Food.

Kolchak turned his investigative skills to vampires, werewolves, zombies and all manner of legendary creatures, but in the end he always failed to convince his skeptical editor, Tony Vincenzo, that the stories weren't products of Kolchak's own overworked imagination.
